Onni Set to Rezone Second Phase of Gilmore Place

Onni has submitted a rezoning application for the residential portion of Phase 2 of it’s Gilmore Place project. Phase 1 of the project included three residential towers at the Northwest corner of the site, now under construction; Phase 2 also includes an office tower which is in the rezoning stage. There will be four phases in total.

Phase 2 of the project is located along Dawson Street just east of the Gilmore Skytrain Station. This phase includes:

  • two residential highrises of 50-storeys and 43-storeys;
  • 1,012 total condo units;
  • a common underground parkade;
  • a common podium.

Condos & Office Space Proposed for Cambie Site

Vivagrand Developments has submitted a rezoning application for the site they own at 5812-5844 Cambie Street, at the corner of Cambie Street and West 42nd Avenue.

The site was previously proposed for a mixed-use development up to 10-storeys under the old Cambie Corridor Plan, which was revised for higher densities as part of the areas new designation as the Oakridge Municipal Centre.

The current proposal consists of a mixed-use development with a 32-storey condo tower and a 12-storey office tower over a four-storey podium. It includes:

  • 257 condo units;
    • 170 one-bedrooms, 57 two-bedrooms & 30 three-bedrooms;
  • 106,589 SF of office space;
  • 12,000 SF of retail space;
  • a 37-space public childcare facility and a youth centre;
  • a total density of 9.85 FSR; and
  • • 303 parking spaces and 536 Class A bicycle spaces over four levels of underground parking.

This application is being considered under the Cambie Corridor Plan.

The architect for the project is IBI Group.

Rezoning Plan for West Georgia White Spot Calls for 455 Condo Units in Two Towers

The formal rezoning application has been submitted for the White Spot site on West Georgia Street at Cardero Street. The long anticipated application calls to rezone 1608-1616 West Georgia Street to allow for the redevelopment of the site for two 38-storey luxury condo towers.

The site sold in 2017 for $245 Million in an off-market transaction to Carnival International Holdings in partnership with Aspac.

The proposal is for two residential towers above a 4-storey podium, including:

  • 455 condo units;
    • 216 one-bedrooms, 179 two bedrooms, 56 three-bedrooms & 4 townhouses;
  • A total density of 9.60 FSR;
  • Six levels of underground parking with 503 vehicle parking stalls and 911 bicycle parking spaces.

This application is being considered under the West End Community Plan and the Rezoning Policy for the West End.

The architects for the project are Pelli Clarke Pelli in partnership with IBI Group.
