A development “to create a new heart to Edmonds Town Centre” is being proposed for the Value Village property at Kingsway and Edmonds.

Cressey Developments has applied to the City of Burnaby to have the large, triangular property rezoned so it can build a project that contains office, residential and commercial space.

Bosa Development has purchased Sperling Plaza, a 4-storey office complex located near Highway 1 and Canada Way in Burnaby. The 130,000 sq ft complex is located on a 3.3 acre site. The purchase price was $33,300,000.

Reflections in Edmonds Nears Sellout

Ledingham McAllister’s Reflections highrise condo project in the Edmonds area of South Burnaby completed construction in Spring 2012, and has now sold 210 of the 218 available units at an overall average of approx. $490 per sq ft. The project began selling in mid-2010.

Ledingham McAllister is expected to introduce more residential units in the area with the redevelopment of Safeway’s distribution site. The project is expected to take at least a year or more to go through the rezoning process before development occurs.

37-storey Central Park tower gets green light.

A proposed 37-storey apartment tower, with three-storey townhouses, across from Central Park passed second reading at Monday night’s council meeting.

Residents in nearby buildings, including the Parkcrest on Patterson Avenue and The Metropolitan on Olive Avenue, are protesting the move.
